The Ministry of Transport invites to work for the position of the Project Manager “Tashkent - Accelerated recruitment investment in low emission vehicles”
The proposed work consists of the following areas of activity:
provide overall project management;
carry out activities by supervising personnel, managing materials and services, training and administering small grants, including developing TORs and work specifications, and supervising the work of all contractors;
provide support for the completion of assessments required by UNDP, spot checks and audits;
manage requests for UNDP financial resources through advance payments, direct payments or reimbursement using the FACE form;
evaluate major and minor amendments to the project within the parameters set by the UNDP Environment, Climate and Energy Division;
oversee implementation plans, including the gender action plan, stakeholder engagement plan, and any environmental and social management plans;
provide support for the mid-term review and final appraisal process.
Competencies
strong leadership, management and coordination skills with the ability to effectively coordinate the implementation of large projects involving a wide range of stakeholders, including financial and technical aspects, to supervise the work of employees in their implementation of technical activities in partnership with various stakeholder groups, including communities and government;
communication skills, especially timely and accurate responses to emails;
good knowledge of the political and socio-economic context related to the municipalities of Uzbekistan, infrastructure development and the transport sector at the national and local levels;
Requirements for candidates:
At least 5 years of experience in project/program management.
higher education (Master or PhD) in a field related to urban transport management or the environment.
excellent command of English, Uzbek and Russian.
other requirements under labor law.
