Tashkent Metropolitan is a Unitary Enterprise under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Previously, it was part of the Uzbek railways company. It operates the metro system, one of the public transport in Tashkent.
As of may 2021, the total length of the Tashkent Metro is 59.5 km, the number of roads is 4 and the number of stops is 43.
The subway carries 330,000 passengers a day on Monday-Friday of the week and 150,000 on Saturday-Sunday. The Tashkent Metro provides services to 4,200 employees and passengers.
On June 12, 2021, Rahmonbek Usmanov was appointed head of the Tashkent Metro.
