The visit of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan to Georgia took place

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov visited Georgia and met with Prime Minister of the Government and People of Georgia Irakliy Garibashvili. During the meeting, issues of cooperation in various fields were noted, which is based on the principles of mutual respect and cooperation.



Irakli Garibashvili noted that in 2021-2022 there was a significant increase in bilateral trade, Georgia considers the Republic of Uzbekistan as an important partner, is interested in cooperation in attracting investments and welcomes Uzbek investors to Georgia.



During the meeting, the Prime Ministers also discussed the transit potential of Georgia, the importance of developing the "Middle Corridor" and stressed the importance of promoting this transport route in an international format.



Following the visit, an action plan for the development of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Georgia for 2023-2024 was signed.
