From July 12 to 14, 2023, a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev paid an official visit to the Georgian city of Batumi. On the first day of the working visit, the delegation met with the Director of the Georgian Maritime Transport Agency A. Akhvlediani on the development of bilateral cooperation.

During the visit, representatives of the Ministry of Transport got acquainted with the activities of the ports of Poti, Batumi, Anaklia, the free economic zone of Poti, as well as the Sarpi checkpoint. On July 14, the delegation visited the Kutaisi International Airport.

A meeting was also held with Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia G. Guramishvili, where proposals were discussed on the effective use of the existing infrastructure of the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi for the export-import cargo transportation of Uzbekistan, as well as on the construction of port terminals on the territory of Georgian ports by representatives of Uzbek business.
