According to the results of H1 2023, resident airlines of the Republic of Uzbekistan performed 28,764 flights, transported 3,604.8 thousand passengers. Of these, the number of flights carried out to international destinations amounted to 16,618, and internal flights to local destinations -12,146.
During January-July 2023, in addition to Uzbekistan Airways, Qanot Sharq, Panorama Airways and Humo Air, new companies such as Centrum Air, Silk avia, Asia Union Airlines and Tashkent Air were created.
Currently, Uzbekistan Airways, Qanot Sharq, Centrum Air, Silk avia and Humo Air operate 97 scheduled flights per week to 12 domestic destinations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 450 flights per week to 154 destinations in 26 countries of the world.
Another important point is that in order to expand our national aviation fleet in January-July 2022, Uzbekistan Airways JSC and private airlines putted into operation 21 aircrafts.
Today, the frequency of international flights operated by resident and non-resident airlines to/from our country has increased to 700 per week.
45,682 aircraft were serviced through 11 international airports of our republic during the first half of this year.
To date, 52 international agreements have been signed between the Republic of Uzbekistan and foreign states at the interstate and intergovernmental levels in the field of air transportation, the number of foreign airlines operating flights to our country has reached 37.
Currently, the number of flights operated by these airlines is 49% of the total number of flights operated to international destinations, which is 2 times more than in 2018.
