On July 31, 2023, negotiations were held in the form of a videoconference between representatives of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of the Republic of Iran.

During the meeting, issues of accelerating the signing of an agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran on the organization of an international transport corridor, reducing fees for international road transport through Iran, the possibility of using the Bandar Abbas and Chabakhor ports for export and import cargo, as well as the development of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan international transport corridor were discussed.
