Today, July 29, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdusamat Muminov met with Deputy Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Iqbal Ali ugli Huseynov.

At the meeting, the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of railway transport were discussed.

The officials especially noted the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in this direction.

I. Huseynov noted that in accordance with the agreements on the development of the international multimodal route "Asia-Pacific Region - China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan - Azerbaijan - Georgia - Turkey - Europe", common transit tariff rates have been established between our countries and the conditions for the transportation of goods have been determined along this route.

It was noted that today there is a trend towards a gradual increase in the volume of cargo transportation on this route, which is facilitated by the remaining attractive tariffs.

As a result of the meeting, the parties identified the tasks that will be implemented in the future within the framework of the discussed areas of cooperation.
