On August 3, 2023 the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Mr. Yu Jun. During the meeting, the parties discussed the status of ongoing projects in the transport sphere of cooperation between the two states.

In particular, the meeting discussed the construction of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway line, considered aspects related to the organization of air travel in new directions, as well as the implementation of agreements reached at the summit in the format of "Central Asia-China" in the Chinese city of Xi'an on May 18-19 this year.

It is worth noting that today the Ministry of Transport is implementing a number of joint projects with the People's Republic of China on the development of transport logistics, in particular, to increase multimodal transportation on new routes, upgrade public transport rolling stock and introduce advanced digital technologies.
